 LINEAR EQUATIONS IN TWO VARIABLES

1.  Solve the following system of equations by elimination method:

                     3x + 2y = 11

                     2x + 3y = 4

2.  Solve  the system of equations graphically:

                     2x + y = 5

                     3x – y = 5

 3. Solve by substitution   2x + 3y = 3

                                                3x – 2y = 11


      

      QUADRATIC EQUATIONS               

 4.  In a fraction, the numerator is greater than the denominator by 4. If 3 is added to    the  numerator, the fraction becomes 2. Find the fraction.

5.  Solve for x & y :   
                         
                                 bx – ay = b2 – a2                                                                                               

6.  The sum of the digits of a two digit number is 12. The number obtained by interchanging the two digits exceeds the given number by 18. Find the number.
